Russian Cold Water Shrimp Capacity Growing Rapidly

Several big trawlers have been added to Russia’s coldwater shrimp fishery in the past year, with more set to be added in the future, as companies look to find a use for older vessels replaced by those built under “investment quotas” scheme.
This is likely to result in Russia meeting more of its domestic demand for shrimp, several sources told Undercurrent News – with one importer already seeing this well underway.
