Right Whale Deaths Remain At 8; Minister Wilkinson Comments on Protection Measures 

Fisheries and Oceans Canada confirmed on Monday morning that the North Atlantic right whale death count in Canadian waters remains at eight.

News broke Friday afternoon that there were two additional North Atlantic right whale deaths, bringing the number of deaths up from six to eight.

"A necropsy on one of them will take place Sunday in Grand-Étang, QC, as it was spotted in the Gulf of St. Lawrence," the DFO tweeted. "The other was first seen off...
