Pittsburgh, PA -- The Heinz Family Foundation today honored Linda Behnken, Sitka-based commercial fisherman and executive director of the Alaska Longline Fishermen’s Association (ALFA) for her work to protect rural fishing economies and fragile ecosystems. Besides the accolades and being put in the company of accomplished activists, the award includes an unrestricted cash prize of $250,000.
